The Chefs Guild of Lanka is Sri Lanka‚ Association of professional chefs. We are an organization that is truly dedicated and committed toward the professional development of all chefs and cooks in our Island home.
The Chefs Guild of Lanka was initiated by our founder member Chef Neil Gow in 1988. From small beginnings, we have grown over the past two decades and now boast of membership from over 180 hotels in the island.
The Chefs Guild of Lanka received it‚ charter into WACS The World Association of Chefs Societies at the World Congress in Frankfurt in 1992 as the 37th member nation.
To expand the goals of chefs and cooks and create new ideas to further enhance their professional status around the island.
To focus on training and development for chefs and cooks by setting up training institutions in developed and rural areas in cookery, pastry and bakery.
To promote high-quality products and technical knowledge, organize workshops and training courses by linking professional bodies to create awareness of the importance of Culinary Art.
Create links of friendship, professional co-operation and mutual understanding.
National Event- CAF, Culinary Art Food Expo- which is Sri Lanka‚ biggest and foremost Food and Hotel exhibition that is held biennially.
