You perform highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain the property’s facilities and equipment to ensure a safe and functional environment for the guests.

What you will be doing

  • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
  • Repair, maintain, dismantle structures, furniture, woodwork, doors, folding walls, ceilings, tile, sheetrock and hardware throughout the resort.
  • Visually inspects, diagnoses problems, takes measurements and makes necessary adjustments to items such as door hardware to ensure safe smooth operation of guestrooms, public space, and back of the house facilities.
  • Maintain and repair doors, furniture, windows, hang artwork, headboards, mirrors, etc.
  • Performs shop work to repair or build furniture and small structures.
  • Identifies types and grade of wood and be familiar with hardware materials available to the Carpentry trade.
  • Able to work closely with vendors and team members to ensure proper quantities of building supplies are always on hand without exceeding the monthly budget.
  • Demonstrate commitment to making a conscientious effort to eliminate or reduce the risk of injury to our guests, colleagues, damage to our property or the property of others.  Know the correct action to take in the event of an emergency, demonstrate this knowledge by acting appropriately in the event of an emergency.


Your experience and skills include:

  • Relevant building maintenance experience is an asset
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
  • 4 to 5 years carpenter skills in cabinet making, construction framing.
  • Door hardware installation.
  • Your team and working environment:
  • In the Engineering department we all work with each other to support a positive team to get the job done.
