Fairmont Chicago Millennium Park is a classic, elegant, and luxury hotel that provides guests with excellent service, comfort, and breathtaking views of downtown Chicago and Lake Michigan. What you will be doing: 

Reporting to the General Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Leads the development and execution of strategies, tactics and actions plans, and ensures individual booking goals are met for all members on the team.
  • Establishes all sales quotas, calls, referrals and revenue objectives as outlined in the budget and quarterly action plans for Sales Managers.
  • Skillfully articulates goals and objectives to ownership.
  • Identifies opportunities to increase on-going and additional revenue streams and challenges existing processes, encouraging innovation and driving necessary change.
  • Provides customer intelligence and evaluation of market & economic trends and adapts sales strategy to meet/exceed customer expectations, generates increased revenue and ensures competitive position in the marketplace. Communicates changes and potential revenue opportunities to leadership team.
  • Provides guidance in preparation of monthly reports, backlog, tracking of account room nights in the group, Corp IT, and tour and leisure market segments, and guides the development of customer action plans.
  • Oversees development of actions plans to maintain and grow established benchmarks for Voice of the Guest, Colleague Engagement Survey, and Simple Sales Standards.
  • Coaches leaders of revenue-generating departments in developing effective strategies and setting aggressive goals that will drive financial performance.
  • Hires “Best in Class” for the property-based Sales and Marketing leadership team and provides on-going training and action plans to promote their development, as well as their direct reports.
  • Identifies, develops and leads digital marketing plan with support of manager and agency to maximize return.
  • Coordinates the hotel's participation in multi-property and company-wide Marketing campaigns.
  • Develops and leads Public Relations activities to ensure maximum results from combined sales and public relations campaigns.
  • Supports Global Sales Offices and monitors the working relationship and production.
  • Develops strong partnerships with local and external organizations to further brand/product awareness and advises brand and regional teams of growth opportunities.
  • Emphasizes and promotes brand selling and lead referral.
  • Strongly involved in business community and trade organizations with a focus on incremental business and enhancing the position of the hotel in the market.

 

Your experience and skills include:

  • Five years hotel sales experience at a senior level required. Previous experience in similar role considered an asset.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and strengths in innovation and results-orientation.
  • Creative, effective and passionate individual with a high level of professionalism and human relations abilities.
  • Strong Leadership skills and experience coaching and directing teams.
