Reservations Rooms Controller
As a Reservations Rooms Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing our rooms inventory: blocking our rooms for future arrivals and maintenance, communicating rooms updates to appropriate departments and facilitating guest communications.  Your organization, along with your ability to handle guest inquiries with aloha will help to ensure our guests feel welcome and heart-warmed.

What you will be doing:

  • Accurately block and maintain inventory of the 450 guest suites and villas - particularly sixty (60) days or more prior to arrival, ensuring the right guest is in the right room at the right rate to ensure we meet our goals and room revenue budgets.
  • Thoroughly familiarizing yourself with group business and expectations as it relates to room allocations by attending the  weekly group resume meeting and reviewing group resumes, master accounts and other files
  • Communicating meeting notes to applicable departments
  • Managing the Detailed Room Availability Report for a rolling 365 days
  • Coordinate Preventative Maintenance (PM) Program buy placing rooms Out of Order and working closely with Engineering and Housekeeping to ensure Suites and Villas receive PM service per resort guidelines
  • Assist Revenue Management leaders to ensure consistent inventory throughout all selling platforms.
  • Consistently offer exceptional, friendly and engaging service
  • Ensure the best selection for the guest and ensure revenue is maximized through up-selling
  • Recommend property facilities and assist guests with information and special requests
  • Book room reservation requests, enter rooming lists, and update accurate information in the system

Your experience and skills include:

  • Guest focused personality is essential; experience is an asset
  • Must possess computer skills, including, but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Prior experience working with Front Office (Property Management) systems is required.  Experience with Opera is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities

  • Occasional walking and standing throughout shift
  • Frequent sitting throughout shift
  • Occasional bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling
  • Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
