Manager, Inside Sales

Job Description Summary

The Inside sales manager will drive the retention and development of our business across the Inside Sales customer segments in Japan. She/He will have P&L accountability for his/her area and will be responsible for defining and executing the commercial strategy securing the alignment and support of the relevant business partners (Finance, Com ops, Customer Solutions, Travel Content Sourcing, Delivery and Customer Service). While securing profitable growth in our air bookings, the role will also have a strong focus on diversifying our business through increased adoption of non-air content, TA IT, and Payment solutions by our travel agency customers. She/He will lead, motivate and develop a team of sales and account managers to ensure the right level of service to customers and achieve business goals.

STRATEGIC PLANNING AND EXECUTION

-Identify key market trends, challenges and requirements impacting business travel and inside sales agencies operating in the Japan market and Amadeus competitive position (SWOT)

-Develop relevant commercial, marketing and solution strategy to address such different segments and drive Amadeus growth in the market.

-Contribute to market mid/long term ambition, strategic plan and associated KPIs across Air and Amadeus diversification initiatives (Non-air, TAIT, Payment, etc)

COMMERCIAL ACTIVITIES

-Actively drive the sales pipeline management from lead generation to closure to achieve targets (retention, acquisition and development)

-Drive the diversification of our business by upselling non Air content and IT  solutions

-Ensure the team builds, develops and maintains structured relationships with customers through Account Development Plans

-Develop personal trusted relationships with C-Level customer decision makers. 

-Ensure customer service excellence making it easy for customers to do business with us and position Amadeus as a trusted business partner

-Oversee commercial approval and/or escalation process for customer business cases together with customer negotiations

TEAM LEADERSHIP

-Manage the team through appropriate governance, communication, tooling, processes and knowledge sharing

-Develop a culture of growth, collaboration, customer proximity, agility and innovation

-Optimize allocation of resources and skillset according to the business needs and opportunities

-Manage personnel development process across the team in order to improve individual and collective performance and develop talent

-Lead Engagement improvement program

TRANSVERSAL PROJECTS

-Support and ensure the implementation of transversal initiatives across customer portfolio (portfolio rationalization, NDC launch, Inside sales, Salesforce system)

Minimum qualifications:   

-Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience

-5 years of experience in people management     

-5 years of experience in working in an Travel and/or B2B IT sales organization leading sales operations and strategy   

-Experience with project management collaborating with oversea stakeholders

-Well developed oral and written communication and interpersonal skills (Japanese and English)

-Financial and analytical skills, budgeting and business case experience
