About the job

• Food preparation from the cold and hot sections
• Food preparation including but not limited to sauces, marinades, batch recipes, etc
• Follow complex recipes and tight portion control
• Understand and flow food description and allergens
• Keep fridges and freezers clean and tidy, check food labels, ensure all food items are within date
• Prepare staff food
• Set up back and front sections following par levels
• Produce a high-quality product in an efficient and timely manner
• Follow instructions from the Chef in charge
• Ensure Kitchen Porter, Commis & Demis Chefs are following procedures and due diligence
• Service fridges to be cleaned, containers changed, wastage to be communicated, label all food items
• Ensure all work surfaces are cleaned & ready for next day
• Communicate any MEP to be done the next day, especially if you are off
• Fill MEP lists and order for your relevant section

About you

Previous London experience as a CDP , preferably working with Portuguese or Mediterranean flavours;
Excellent attention to detail;
A working knowledge of food hygiene and health & safety compliance and procedures;
Ability to work with a positive and team-player attitude and lots of personality.
