Job Description

At Bottega, we strive to offer the highest quality food, wine, and service. Our menu is inspired by Neapolitan cuisine and the freshest market produce. The pizza is cooked in our Vesuvian rock wood-burning oven imported directly from Naples. The Bottega team works diligently to provide a warm and welcoming ambiance, providing guests with a memorable dining experience.

We are currently looking for a head chef who has a passion for Italian cuisine and will share our vision of serving and creating authentic dishes using quality ingredients.

The head chef is responsible for the entire kitchen operations from conception to execution. The head chef will be in charge of purchasing, controlling costs, deliveries, scheduling and training. They will also creatively compose weekly specials, test recipes, and ensure proper food handling and presentation.

• Manage and train the team
• Create kitchen protocols and procedures
• Plan and prepare weekly specials
• Set up the kitchen with cooking utensils, equipment, and stock food items
• Understand and prepare standard Bottega recipes
• Collaborate and assist other cooks as needed
• Monitor inventory, place orders, and check freshness
• Maintain quality control of each plate and ensure appealing plate presentation
• Ensure food is cooked in a timely manner
• Ensure compliance with all health/safety regulations within the kitchen area


• Experience with food preparation and food handling

• Ability to create and follow recipes

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Ability to co-operate and work in a team

• Excellent communication skills

• Excellent time management abilities

• Certificate or Diploma from a recognized culinary school

• Knowledge of Italian cuisine

• Minimum 5 years experience in Italian cuisine as a Chef

À la Bottega, nous sommes toujours à la recherche d’ingrédients d’exception : les salumi biologiques, la mozzarella de bufflonne fraîche de la Caserte et les tomates San Marzano cueillies à la main composent notre garde-manger. Nous n’apportons aucun changement aux produits ; nous préférons plutôt mettre l’accent sur leur qualité et les laisser s’affirmer eux-mêmes. La pizza napolitaine se distingue par sa croûte fine dorée, lisse au toucher et au goût. Notre four à bois de pierre vésuvienne nous a été acheminé en une pièce du port du Naples. La pizza est cuite à 900 degrés et en 90 secondes.
