Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and ambitious Culinary Development Manager. This is an excellent opportunity to develop and deliver an outstanding commercial culinary offer for a multi-site contract, your chance to lead and develop a large culinary team, and to help us live and breathe our passion for culinary excellence.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and ensuring consistent delivery of a fantastic commercial culinary food service strategy
  • Ensuring that our food service offer is in line with contract, budgetary and operational agreements
  • Leading, managing and developing a high performing culinary team 
  • Acting as an advocate to drive cultural change in ensuring the highest of safety standards in all areas


Food Service Strategy:

  • Design, manage and own the strategic plan for delivering an excellent food service experience across site
  • Ensuring our food offer is commercially viable and meets our budgetary requirements
  • Develop and deliver rotational menus, special events and hospitality requests that meet the commercial requirements of the contract, while exceeding customer expectations 
  • Proactively create, and present strategic, commercially viable recommendations that are innovative, identifying future trend led opportunities
  • To lead an improved strategic plan for the development of health and wellbeing food service provision that is both commercial and meets changing customer needs


Culinary Leadership:

  • Lead and inspire team members across all roles and all levels
  • Deliver a culture of Food and Workplace Safety as an advocate, with exemplary personal behaviours
  • Deliver a people plan to develop and performance manage the team, ensure all required training has been completed, correctly documented and delivers cultural change
  • Ensure delivery of a consistent customer experience with front of house chef presence across all services
  • Deliver proactive labour management which drives efficiency, whilst maintaining consistent service standards


Ideal Candidate

Are you passionate, dynamic and driven in delivering value to your employer?

  • Previous experience within a multi-site organisation operating as a contractor
  • Experience as an Executive Chef
  • Good demonstratable leadership capability
  • Proven successful client relationship management 
  • Understanding of key innovations in hospitality and retail trends
  • Clear responsibility for strategy formulation and execution
  • Experience of managing change specifically ‘culture change’
  • Exposure to or manager of a large scale operational delivery from with a catering or customer service background
