Aviation Transport Safety Manager
About the job
As Aviation Transport Safety Manager you are responsible for the day to day implementation, oversight and enforcement of all safety practices in the Transport department.
- Ensure on the job training, performance standards are met and certification programs, including documentation and all training records are accurately maintained
- Complete internal and external audits of the Transport department, to ensure agreed work practices are followed and comply with airline and airport standards and regulatory guidelines. Liaise with airline customers & Airport regulators on safety matters
- Compliance with all auditing and standards requirements of the airport & airline clients. Investigate and respond where non compliance is identified. Maintain records of all mandated actions available for inspection for external stakeholders
- Document and report all airside and roadway compliance activities in a timely manner
- Participate in all Airport & Airline Ramp Safety training and committee meetings
- Prepare, schedule and conduct required ramp safety training & auditing which all airside employees will be required to complete
- Liaise with managers to determine training needs and schedule training sessions for all staff operating airside. Drivers, Loaders, Flight coordinators.
- Participate in incident and accident investigations of all employees, third party incidents and accidents
- Responsible for delivering effective and comprehensive Aviation security and Ramp Safety Training to all relevant employees to ensure delivery of regulations
- Managing, reporting, and implementing any changes as required to ensure DO & CO is compliant with the Safety regulations for transport, maintenance, and security on a daily basis
