Responsibilities include:

  • Actively prospect and solicit, develop, and maintain catering accounts through telephone, personal sales calls, proactive sales initiatives and on-site entertainment.
  • Coordinates all requirements for groups booked by the Sales Department and communicated the needs of the client with all hotel departments.
  • Ensures successful execution of group programs and stays while driving client satisfaction.
  • Maximize revenue potential through up selling and ensure accuracy of all program or event details.


Qualifications include:

  • Minimum of three years’ experience as a Catering or Conference Services Manager in a full service resort or hotel
  • Knowledge of Sales and Catering Software
  • Computer literacy to include MS Word, Excel, and ability to use e-mail and the Internet
  • High level of creativity with food and beverage menu proposals
  • Strong selling and negotiating skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Solid organization skills
  • Strong interpersonal and team player skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Ability to work long and irregular hours, weekends, and evenings
  • Basic knowledge of audio-visual equipment, internet, telecommunication technology – preferred
