About the job

Exceptional proficiency in all Estheticians’ tasks/responsibilities.

Daily communication to all Estheticians regarding daily/upcoming events through use of daily briefings, pass-on logs, memos, or any other means necessary.

Producing the weekly schedule for Estheticians to meet guest demand, while staying within company labor standards.

Monitoring Estheticians’ hours through the week to adjust schedules, if needed, to meet demand and stay within company labor standards.

Processing Esthetician shift change requests in the computer in a timely manner, and ensuring that changes do not negatively impact the schedule or guests.

Proactively distributing workload among Estheticians to increase productivity and reduce Esthetician down time.

Proactively working with the Spa Manager to ensure sufficient staffing levels to meet guest demand.

Monitoring of the books and yield management. Ensuring all new Estheticians are trained according to the requirements of the Spa and HR, using assistance from Designated Trainers.

Continual re-training of Estheticians in areas that become apparent by creating action plans. Implementing new procedures for Estheticians in order to improve productivity and service delivery.

Updating the Esthetician Standards Manual on an quarterly basis to reflect updates in procedures and tasks.

Monitoring Esthetician performance and assisting with and/or conducting performance reviews.

Recording Esthetician infractions (tardiness, absence, insubordination, job performance issues etc.) and passing information to Spa Management for corrective action with employees and/or actively coaching and counseling employees on these issues.

Planning and conducting monthly Esthetician meetings to discuss upcoming group business, learning experiences from past glitches, new spa procedures, and ways to improve guest service.

Maintaining a par stock of supplies and creating Purchase Orders in a timely manner to ensure that par levels are met.

Assist with portioning and issuing supplies, tracking Esthetician product usage to control and minimize waste, establishing and implementing control procedures when necessary.

Actively participating in Supervisors’ meetings to discuss and share pertinent information with Spa Management and fellow Supervisors, and to find ways to improve guest service, product quality, and employee morale and productivity Monitoring esthetics rooms, guest corridors and back-of house areas to ensure that they are at all times neat, orderly, and well stocked.

Daily communication to Spa Management to pass on pertinent information regarding the facility, employees, guests, supplies/repairs needed, and upcoming events.

Actively ensuring that service standards are met at all times. Conducting Daily Standard Testing to ensure continual compliance.

Proactively working with Spa Management to continually improve .service and employee morale Work with retail and reception to ensure proper products are retailed and that Receptionists and Estheticians have correct understanding of product knowledge. Implementing upsell incentives for Estheticians.

Staying current on State Board Cosmetology Requirements and ensuring all Estheticians are up to code and all licenses are current.

When necessary, ascertaining satisfaction of guests upon check-out and dealing with guest complaints as appropriate, calling for management assistance where necessary.

Completing as-needed special tasks deemed necessary by Spa Management in a timely manner.
