About the job



Learn and contribute to the efforts, quality and timeliness of all aspects of the general ledger, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable and general cashiering in accordance with local and corporate policies and procedures as an MIT.

BASIC PURPOSE:

To learn to prepare and analyze financial reports and maintain accounting records for the Residences and Hotel at Four Seasons Hotel & Residence New York Downtown with the assistance of the Finance Team.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Produce Daily Income Journal, reconciling the advance deposits, credit card payments, Opera transfers, direct bills, mini bar purchases and miscellaneous revenue on a continuing basis and maintain house charge accounts and inter-company accounts with the residences, hotel, developer, and Sales & Marketing, reconciling on an ongoing basis.  
  • Assist in maintaining all bank accounts, including operating, reserve, and investment accounts, distributing funds, balancing the check register, and reconciling accounts. 
  • Assist in any Owners, Residential, Regional, and Internal
  • Help in compiling financial reports at month end by preparing and posting journal entries, reconciling balance sheet accounts.
  • Collect and deposit annual assessments, assess late and finance charges, and monitor delinquent accounts, taking the necessary actions with the assistance of the Finance team.
  • Comply with Four Seasons Category One and Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct as set forth in EmPact.


NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Participate in physical inventory counts.
  • Assist the Residences staff with issues such as HOA and folio charges, purchasing, and owner inquiries.
  • Assist with annual budget preparation. Prepare miscellaneous reports to assist in the overall budget process.


KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

Education:

  • College Education or equivalent experience.


Skills and Abilities:

Must possess exceptional people skills and be able to interact with all levels of employees and customers. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must have excellent organizational and time management skills. Proven ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks at the same time. Strong computer and math skills required. Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language. Proficient in the use of a personal computer and various software programs

Competitive Salary & Wages

Salary Range for role is: $56,000 to $66,000
