What We Expect:

Job Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Provide twenty-four (24) hour trouble shooting coverage for the Front Office Property Management System, Call Accounting and Food and Beverage point of sale systems.
  • Provide support for back office and personal computer systems.
  • Act as the Residence Club's liaison with both hardware and software purveyors, including coordination of maintenance agreement between hotel, purveyors and Home Office.
  • Establish and maintain user procedures and hardware familiarization for all systems.
  • Coordinate any new system implementation (with corporate MIS), upgrade or update with hotel staff and hardware or software suppliers.
  • Assist individual departments in setting up computer training manuals for their individual departmental records.
  • Establish and maintain system security procedures consistent with control requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of system files; software and hardware problems and service requirements.
  • Develop, maintain, in cooperation with the Purchasing Department, a supplier and product list for all stock data processing supplies.
  • Establish and maintain backup procedures for all systems to ensure protection from loss of data and ensure backups are carried out in accordance with corporate and local policies.
  • Develop new applications as requested by Department Heads only after the approval of both the Executive Offices and the Controller and in consultation with Home Office.
  • Act as a liaison between corporate MIS and property to communicate property needs and to keep all departments informed of advances and developments in systems.
  • Produce a labor report on a daily basis when necessary.  The ability to understand all components related to labor report to include the labor standards, payroll variance reports and accrued payroll.
  • Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by hotel management and staff.


Skills/Qualifications:

Ideal candidate will have:

  • Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule in order to accomplish all major responsibilities and tasks
  • Must have mathematical skills, technical aptitude and some hotel operation knowledge
  • Must have commitment to follow all local and corporate policies and procedures as they relate to Data Processing
  • Must work in a safe, prudent and organized manner
