The Pastry Cook is an essential member of the Food & Beverage team dedicated to providing exceptional quality and service to our guests.Responsibilities include preparing sweet items, pastries, cakes, ice creams, sorbets, fruit compotes, chocolates and show pieces of exceptional quality according to guest orders and banquet event orders, completing mis en place, operating, maintaining and properly cleaning kitchen equipment, and abiding by stringent health code standards.
A minimum of one year of previous pastry experience is preferred in a luxury environment required. Excellent English communication skills is a must and the ability to work in a fast pace environment. High school diploma or equivalent required and culinary certification preferred. Must have the ability to lift, push and pull 70 pounds; be able to work weekends and holidays, and be able to obtain any required food handing or sanitation certifications. Must have valid work authorization for the U.S.
