Reporting to the Assistant Director of Food & Beverage, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Select, train, evaluate, lead, motivate, coach, and discipline all employees, Assistant Managers and Supervisors in the restaurants and bar to ensure that established cultural and core standards are met long-range strategic planning for outlet operation.
  • Describe and ensure quality of all food/beverage items, ingredients and preparation methods, as well as provide expert knowledge of wine and spirits in an elegantly appointed environment dedicated to an attentive and distinctive experience for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
  • The ability to work closely with the Assistant Director of Food & Beverage, Executive Chef and Sous Chefs to design an effective menu and wine list while ensuring excellent product quality at a fair price and attend regular operational meetings to ensure effective coordination and cooperation between departments. 
  • Control labor and operating expenses through effective scheduling, budgeting, purchasing decisions, and inventory control and cash control.
  • The ability to be visible in the operation, recognize and maintain relationships with regular guests as well as cultivate relationships with new patrons.
  • Communicate with employees and managers to ensure operational needs are met as well as attend regular operational meetings to ensure effective coordination and cooperation between departments. 
  • Observe physical condition of facility and equipment in the outlet and make recommendations for corrections and improvements as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards
  • Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.


REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3+ years of restaurant/bar Management preferably in a hotel or luxury environment.
  • Exceptional knowledge of food and beverage (wine, beer and spirits).
  • A leader who has excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills, good problem-solving ability, engaging, and energetic.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends and Holidays.
  • Requires reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language- additional language skills encouraged
  • Must already be legally permitted to work in the United States.
