BASIC PURPOSE:

As a Server/Barista, you will curate the customer’s experience by sharing your knowledge and enthusiasm in a genuine way. You will drive the food and coffee culture and assist in the daily operations of the café lobby lounge and restaurant bar.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Offer guests an enjoyable and expertly served food and coffee experience conforming to Four Seasons standards of excellence, quality, professionalism and friendliness. Offer quick, correct, precise and friendly service that is respectful and accommodating of the guest's requests of selections and timeliness of service. Prepare and serve hot and/or cold specialty coffees and various beverages. Prepare and serve a selection of coffees from the menu while ensuring proper pouring according to established Four Seasons Standards. Describe coffee items to guests and/or suggest products that might be appealing by explaining the product details and preparation descriptions. Describe the selection of food & beverage menu items to guests by offering interesting, and vivid descriptions of the each item’s, origin, taste, and preparation methods; communicate guest orders including any special needs or requests to the kitchen using the hotel’s point-of-sales system; coordinate food timings; check completed kitchen orders with the guest’s original order; transport items to the guest table in a timely manner to ensure proper food quality.   Confirm guest orders including any special needs or requests from the lounge server using the hotel’s point-of-sales system; check completed orders with the guest’s original order. Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and offer suggestions, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests. Properly and accurately close guest checks; process cash and credit card payments; properly settle voided checks or complimentary items. Assist in all service aspects in the provision of Four Seasons Standards of service at all times Clean and sanitize work station daily. Check temperatures of freezers, refrigerators and/or heating equipment to ensure proper functioning. Stock necessary products for the successful operation of the outlet. Stock customer stations with paper products of beverage preparation items. Weight, grind and pack coffee beans as needed. Complete all side work. Inform the manager or assistant of all customer complaints and makes appropriate efforts to correct the problem. Conduct oneself in a professional manner at all times to reflect the high standards of Four Seasons Hotels. Maintain a good working relationship with other employees. Respond properly in any hotel emergency or safety situation.

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Take guest reservations. Plate and prepare food items. 

Assist with bar inventory
