The Role of Sous Chef:

We currently have an opportunity for a talented and creative Sous Chef to join our pre-opening San Domenico Palace, Taormina, A Four Seasons Hotel team in Sicily, Italy! 

Reporting into the Restaurant Chef, you hold a leadership position within the kitchen department and will be responsible for supervising the day to day running of the kitchen team.  You will be involved in all areas of preparation and service, will manage food costs and production control, develop and mentor a passionate culinary team, and ensure our guests receive the highest levels of service excellence consistently.

Our Ideal Sous Chef candidate will have:

Will have a special talent and passion for ensuring you and your team deliver the highest of culinary standards consistently and ensuring that our food offering is at the center of our guest experience.  You should have culinary experience in luxury resorts, preferably have a minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Junior Sous Chef, a desire to focus on the development of our team, ability to provide guidance to others, able to evidence good business acumen, and have a creative flair; bringing your personal touch and energy to all our food and beverage experiences.

Ideally you will also have pre-opening and seasonal experience, and you must possess the legal right to work in Italy and have fluency in English and Italian.
