Four Seasons Resort Whistler is located at the foot of Blackcomb and Whistler. The resort is a five-minute walk to the ski lifts and a 10-minute stroll to the village center, making it the perfect location for a rustic adventure any time of year.

Our guest rooms are spacious, beautifully re-styled in December, 2019, the refurbished rooms and suites pay close attention to the unique placement of Whistler – a secluded retreat, just an hour and a half away from the international destination of Vancouver.

In December 2020, we completed a property-wide enhancement with the launch of Braidwood Tavern, a craft kitchen and social house conceived in collaboration with celebrated chef and restauranteur Richard Sandoval, along with a re-imagined SIDECUT Steakhouse, both designed by Box Interior Design.

The role - Overview:

This position has the flexibility to be entirely home based, be hotel based or a mix.

Accounting for the Hotel Strata

Assisting in preparing the monthly Strata statements for the hotel strata

Maintaining accurate books and records for all FF&E (fixtures, assets, and equipment) related to hotel renovation for the hotel and strata

Updating owners rental revenue revenues payable on a monthly basis

Keeping track of and keeping accurate records of the owners rental revenue accounts for hotel and private residences

Liaising with hotel accounting department and ensuring reports for month end are done accurately and on a timely basis

Maintaining and booking all month end entries related to the owner’s accounts and strata’s and assisting with hotel month end.

Maintaining up to date records on all accounts payable and receivables related to the owners account.  

Corresponding and working with Owners on revenue and expense related questions

Working closely with the Director or Residences and Director of Engineering on any owner related matters or strata related matters

Working closely with the strata managing broker on AGM, strata council meetings and any other strata related matters.

Reviewing and submitting NR6 tax filing and preparing NR4 statements

Monthly GST filing for Strata, managing the annual Strata and rental pool audits

Balance Sheet and Bank reconciliation for the hotel and private residences strata.

Monthly analysis of financials

Preparing the Budget and Forecast for the Strata entities

Reporting to Home office on a monthly and quarterly basis

Assisting the Assistant Director of Finance in the Finance Operations for the Hotel as and when required.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • At least 3 years Accounting experience
  • Strong background and knowledge of rental pool and strata accounts management as well as fixed asset accounting would be an advantage
  • Strong command of the English language
  • Requires attention to detail and problem solving skills, as well as a passion for customer service.
  • Successful candidates must possess the ability to work in Canada
