About the job
- Reports daily to the Team Leader - Stewarding on duty and receives assignments.
- Responsible for emptying garbage and ensuring that paper towel dispensers and soap dispensers are filled daily.
- Mops and scrubs floor daily.
- Operates an automatic dishwashing machine that cleans and washes plates, cups, saucers, silverware, glasses and other dishes.
- Cleans cooking utensils and kitchen equipment by hand.
- Reports any difficulty or problem to Outlet Manager/ Assistant Manager for solution or follow up actions.
- Attends training sessions and meetings as and when required.
- Understands and strictly adheres to Rules and Regulations established in the Employee Handbook and the hotel's policies concerning fire, hygiene, health and safety.
- Basic knowledge of Kitchen Hygiene.
- One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six month related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Two to Three years work experience as Steward in a hotel or restaurant with good standards desirable.
- Essential prerequisite is experience in the Hotel, Restaurant or Travel industry.
