The Analytics team serve as internal consultants to key functions across the business, including Hilton’s customer, marketing, digital revenue and sales organizations, with specialized support for the executive leadership team. The team consists of both embedded subject matter experts, who serve as strategic advisors to key stakeholders, and technical experts, who are proficient in Tableau, R, and MicroStrategy. The team is fully integrated within the business functions in order to ensure close partnerships and more effectively measure and drive company performance.

As an Analyst, Marketing Analytics, you will be responsible for maximizing revenue and ROI’s for Hilton hotels by optimizing listed marketing paid media tools predominantly, i.e. TravelAds. Your focus will also be on complex ad-hoc analyses and proactively identifying business opportunities while leveraging advanced analytics tools and technology.

What will I be doing?
As the Analyst, Marketing Analytics, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Leveraging Hilton’s data to uncover actionable insights and translating those insights into a clear story for our internal stakeholder.
  • Frequent use of advanced analytical techniques to deliver commercial insights, including but not limited to prediction, prescriptive and descriptive analysis.
  • Supporting key reoccurring analytics projects including the Commercial Performance Review and commercial sections of the Quarterly Business Review.
  • Develop strong business partner and cross-functional relationships, including but not limited to sales, marketing, digital, customer and product teams. 
  • Collaborate and strategize with business teams to design, develop and measure optimal strategic objectives with key focus on enterprise value creation (ROI) or net impact.
  • Participate with business in continuously defining key measurements and relative metrics.
  • Measure and monitor the performance and effectiveness of current initiatives and prepare analysis and insights to guide discussions during executive and cross-functional reviews.
  • Maintain the integrity of models while continually improving or developing new approaches.
  • Running queries to pull data extracts, synthesize analyses, and interpret trends and variances.
  • Participate in special projects and other related duties as assigned by the Manager.
  • Support new hire training, mentor new hires, and help to improve team’s analytical and technical skills.
  • Proactively anticipate client needs and “pain points” to creatively problem-solve from that perspective.
  • Manage stakeholders' access to information using self-service tools including Adobe Site Catalyst.
  • Build an effective working relationship with hotel commercial teams and operations to maintain their trust and confidence in the decision and actions over Expedia TravelAds and other marketing tools which are identified.
  • Support and integrate with other marketing and commercial service teams to drive business intelligence performance globally.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel including formula, pivot table and VBA
  • Coding skills and knowledgeable in SQL, Python or R preferred
  • Experience with Tableau, MicroStrategy or Power BI preferred
  • Experience with Adobe Analytics preferred
