Be a part of the newest luxury hotel in downtown LA,  Conrad Los Angeles ! As part of the highly anticipated billion-dollar project,  The Grand LA , this will be the 7th Conrad Hotel in the U.S. and the 1st in California.

Located in the most exciting state-of-the-art development to come to DTLA, this luxurious 28-story hotel will have over 300 rooms, a spa, 16,000 square foot rooftop with a pool deck, 12,000 square feet of event space, and 4 food and beverage outlets. This includes a signature restaurant, outdoor restaurant, lobby bar, and in-room dining all in partnership with Chef Jose Andres' award-wining restaurant group,  ThinkFoodGroup .

The Grand LA combines lifestyle, arts, and culture to provide a truly unique experience in Los Angeles. It is at the epicenter of downtown LA’s cultural corridor across from the Walt Disney Concert Hall with two towers, a 45-story residential and 28-story hotel, and more than 176,000 square feet of retail space anchored by chef-driven restaurants and a collection of shops, entertainment, and hospitality.

In this role as a Concierge you will be responsible for assisting guests with various tasks related to their visit and for providing information about the hotel and the local vicinity in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service.

The ideal candidate will have prior customer service experience. Prior Front Desk or other hospitality experience preferred. Hilton luxury experience is preferred. The ideal candidate must possess ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to defuse anger and collect accurate information and resolve conflicts. Basic mathematical and calculator skills to prepare mathematical calculations without error, e.g., purchasing tickets for guests. Ability to listen effectively, to speak and write English clearly. Ability to access and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer system. Ability to stand, walk and/or sit and continuously perform essential job functions. Learning and visual ability to observe and detect signs of emergency situations.

What will I be doing?

  • Greets customers immediately with a friendly and sincere welcome. Responds to inquiries with accurate information regarding hours of outlet operation, directions to local attractions, or meeting rooms, car rentals and airline shuttle service, etc. according to individual needs.
  • Answers telephone calls and inputs messages into the computer. Retrieves messages and communicates contents to the guest. Retrieves mail, small packages, and facsimiles for customers as requested.
  • Arranges and confirms recreation, business and dining activities both inside and outside the hotel. Promptly responds to requests for dentists, doctors, child care, florists, etc.
  • Registers VIP guests by inputting and retrieving information from a computer system, confirming pertinent information such as number of guests and room rate. Promotes Hilton marketing programs. Makes appropriate selection of guest rooms based on guest needs. Codes electronic keys. Confirms the room number and rate. Provides folders containing room keys, certificates, coupons and refreshment center keys as appropriate.
  • Responds to guest complaints, conducts research to develop the most effective solutions and negotiates results. Listens and assists in resolving problems such as price conflicts, insufficient heating or air conditioning, etc. Remains calm and alert especially during emergency situations and heavy hotel activity.
  • Distributes printed materials such as brochures of local attractions or other Hiltons.
  • Pre-arrival contact for planning and personalization of each guest’s visit.
