What will I be doing?

As a Digital Content Librarian, you are an archivist responsible for the integration, testing, organization, accessibility, and preservation of Hilton University’s digital library of external and internal content. As an Associate, Digital Content Librarian, you will provide support and consultation to the broader Hilton Learning team on the usage of our content management platform, SharePoint Online. You will partner with Learning, HR Digital and IT to create SOPs/governance practices and related job aids and reference materials. You are familiar with learning management systems and the basics of eLearning authoring tools and will serve as a liaison to vendor partners and HR Digital to test integrated courses and content libraries.

More specifically, you will:

  • Internal digital content management
  • Act as the first line of support, user education, and administration of Hilton University’s SharePoint Online site
  • Establish and enforce SOPs/governance practices and create necessary job aids and user reference materials for SharePoint
  • Manage SharePoint permissions; restrict and revoke vendor/guest access as required
  • Perform ongoing research and partner with internal experts to further expand SharePoint site capabilities
  • Maintain bi-annual updates to brand Required Training Documents
  • Devise quarterly campaign to refresh and update content on LMS home pages
  • Perform basic content maintenance and updates using digital authoring tools such as Articulate and Ceros External digital content management
  • Create test scenarios and perform testing on courses and collections from third-party providers
  • Maintain a list of active third-party content providers and our library subscriptions
  • Curate content by subject across multiple content libraries as needed
  • Create learning “playlists” and “collections” in learning platforms as needed
  • Audit and review prospective third-party content against needs requirements and objectives

What are we looking for?

We seek someone with strong personal, organizational skills and the ability to balance multiple time-sensitive assignments simultaneously in a matrixed organization. We believe the success in this role will demonstrate itself through the following attributes and skills:

  • Familiarity with SharePoint Online site administrative activities such as security management and lists/libraries creation
  • Experience with learning technologies including, but not limited to, learning management systems and learning experience platforms
  • Experience with learning content authoring tools
  • Strong time management, organizational skills and effectively prioritize workload
  • Strong communications skills and ability to communicate complex ideas clearly
  • Strong writing and editing skills in English

To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:

  • Two (2) years of professional work experience
  • Proficient in written and spoken English
  • Strong communication skills - written and verbal
  • Strong PC literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office 365

It would be useful in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

  • BA/BS Bachelor’s Degree
  • Two (2) years experience with learning management systems and/or content authoring tools
  • Solid understanding of SharePoint Online Modern Pages and ability to create and manage them
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform and experience building Flows and/or Powerapps

For Colorado applicants only: The annual salary range for this role starts at $54,500 and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location. Hilton offers its eligible team members a comprehensive benefits package including medical and prescription drug coverage, dental coverage, vision coverage, life insurance, short-and long-term disability insurance, a 401(k) savings plan, paid time off, and our travel discount. Subject to plan terms and conditions, you will be eligible to participate in the Hilton Annual Incentive (Bonus) Plan consistent with other team members at the same level and/or position within the Company.
