What will I be doing?  

As Director, Campus Recruitment - Greater China & Mongolia, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
  • Responsible for implementing the strategy for identifying, hiring and developing entry level talent for all areas of Hilton Greater China & Mongolia (GCM).
  • Implement the strategic process for the creative acquisition of entry level talent including executing and managing campus recruiting programs in China.
  • Maintain targeted colleague / university alliance relationships.
  • Support China Internship Programs, Management Trainee Program and Graduate Program and subsequent conversion to full time hires.
  • Capture great stories, and take a prescriptive approach to campus representation and standards. Help provide an insight into what a career at Hilton means in terms of opportunity and rich experiences.
  • Partner with hotel recruitment team to deliver consistent Hilton Class programs across the country and leverage off each other.
  • Support mobile recruitment initiative through China key social media platforms including WeChat, Weibo, etc.
  • Manage partner and vendor relations such as MoSeeker to deliver outcomes that streamline and improve recruitment efficiency.
  • Follow campus recruiting metrics to measure and drive return on investments.
  • Support implementation of new recruitment and human resource initiatives and inspire team members and key stakeholders to adopt new initiatives.
  • Work as a team member within the HR System and Services organization to advance both the recruitment function and HR in general.
  • Initiate and ensure delivery of related projects as assigned.


The role will be based in Shanghai Regional Office with moderate travel within China required.

  • Able to assimilate new concepts and practices into position and the department and provide effective training to subordinates for on-the-job training, policies and procedures, departmental training topics and professional development.
  • Knowledge of business mathematics, including ability to calculate percentage changes and averages/weighted averages; working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including ability to understand/manipulate basic spreadsheets.
  • Able to work independently and manage the independent work of other team members as appropriate; includes the ability to recognize need for involvement of other teams / peers and capability to effectively facilitate that collaboration.


Required Qualifications

  • 4-year college degree or significant work experience in lieu thereof.
  • Significant experience of 3 or more years in recruitment.
  • At least three 3 years of experience in the campus recruitment field.
  • Fluency in English.


Preferred Qualifications

  • 3 years of campus recruitment experience.
  • Marketing and branding experience.
  • Hospitality experience.
  • Relationships with key schools and organizations already established.
  • Ability to demonstrate thought leadership in some capacity.
  • Demonstrate relationship-building and influencing skills.
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin to meet business needs.
