Job Requirements
• Overall maintenance and repair of hotel's building, rooms, equipment and grounds
• Ensure compliance with preventive maintenance program
• Ensure safety standards and practices are consistently adhered to
• Ensure maintenance of all tools and equipment including HVAC, boilers, fire safety system, etc
• Conduct regular communication briefings with front desk and housekeeping teams
• Liaise with and manage relationship with external contractors/suppliers
• Follow procedures relating to energy conservation
• Control supplies, stock levels and budgets for supplies by means of monthly stock checks
• Report directly to Chief Engineer
Work Experience
A minimum of 1 years of maintenance or facilities management
• Knowledge of building management/engineering
• High degree of drive and initiative
• An eye for detail and service oriented approach to work
• Ability to create an enjoyable work environment including mentoring, multi-tasking, strong motivational skills
• Good computer and IT skills
• Committed to delivering a high level of customer service
• Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers and staff, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy
• Ability to move throughout the hotel (standing, walking, kneeling, and bending) for extended periods of time
• Bi-lingual English / Spanish a plus
