The Senior Manager, Commercial (Focused Service Franchised) - Greater China & Mongolia will be responsible for delivering support of commercial strategy execution for your portfolio of focused service franchised hotels by closely partnering with the Brand Performance Support (BPS) team. This role would need to develop the success of focused service franchised hotels under the leadership of line manager .

You will provide consultation and resources as the commercial expert, bridge and introduce Hilton distribution channels, Loyalty programs, global sales systems(i.e. RFP), leveraging HWS resources, Marketing campaigns & resources(i.e. EventReady) to influencers, supply critical analysis on company-wide decisions affecting commercial strategies, communicate Hilton Commercial best practices and facilitate training if necessary per commercial standard to max the best use of Hilton resources and tools. 

 

What will I be doing? 

As the Senior Manager, Commercial (Focused Service Franchised) - Greater China & Mongolia, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Provide consultation and resources as Commercial expert - Coach and engage targeted action plans which are feasible while producing optimal results, provide advice and address questions about Hilton's commercial processes and products, develop presentation & training materials utilized virtually or physically.
  • Execute Commercial Strategic Priorities
    • The successful candidate must be guided by commercial strategic priorities with a clear understanding of the Hilton Values, navigate the Hilton enterprise best practices, leverage Hilton service, relentless focus on results in order to drive commercial standard, introduce key commercial platforms.
    • Support all commercial aspects of focused service franchised hotels from preparation to a smooth opening and post-opening support once the hotel is opened.
    • Conduct or collaborate on all business strategies and the activities needed to grow the focused service franchised hotels’ commercial business engagement, promote any growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with BPS closely - liaison to brand team members and RMCC Franchise contacts, facilitate commercial related discussions with BPS team and prioritizing revenue generating ideas. Support Focused Service franchised hotels by collaborating with BPS on below areas:
    • Standardize Hilton’s sales tools and processes and consistently adhere to them.
    • Participate in Hilton’s key commercial platforms, e.g. SCOUT, RMCC, ResMax.
    • Participate in the Hilton commercial business events, e.g. HWS sales activities, regional marketing campaign.
    • Identify business opportunities for franchised hotels and advise accordingly.
    • Connect the needs of the focused service franchised hotels with the performance drivers. 
    • Coach and provide the training support. Ensure Hilton’s commercial standard programs are live in the business at all levels.
    • Support building short, medium, and long-term strategic plan of the focused service franchised hotels to deliver sustained business goals. 
  • Support MLA partners - to identify opportunities in commercial tools and process and work on solutions.
  • Stakeholder Management - Build powerful business relationships with decision makers including both internal and external stakeholders, assist in the designed commercial strategy, collaborate on all business strategies and the activities needed.
  • Develop relationship within Commercial Team - You will support and collaborate with commercial functional teams (i.e. working closely with RMCC, Loyalty etc.) to complete respective commercial actions. You are to build strong & effective working relationship with respective peers in commercial team.
  • Support the line manager for team initiatives and projects.

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Mandarin and English.
  • Excellent organizational skills, multi-tasking skills, strategic planning capabilities and time management.
  • Strong ability to craft highly professional presentations and communications
  • Able to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Experience in a matrix organization
  • Strong critical thinking skills and has both quantitative and qualitative analytics skill set
  • Able to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths/weakness of alternative and differentiated solutions, conclusions or approaches to problem
  • A self-starter who is well organized and extremely detail-oriented 
  • An assertive team player who is willing to take ownership of responsibilities and possess a high level of positive energy and drive
  • Possess absolute discretion and confidentiality regarding sensitive information
  • Dynamic, innovative and creative in finding business solutions
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications: Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Previous relevant experience in regional role is preferred
  • Adaptable experience in sales or revenue management.
  • Deep understanding of business strategy, business planning and business plan development is advantageous
  • Relevant experience in the focused service franchised corporate/area role is preferred 
  • Has the flexibility to travel when required
