The Global Marketing team brings to life the unique promise of Hilton's portfolio of brands by defining, creating, and delivering exceptional multi-channel marketing campaigns designed to drive business results.

What will I be doing?

We seek an upbeat and skilled Senior Designer for our dedicated in-house creative studio team. Hilton Creative Studio partners with cross-functional teams to build marketing platforms and consumer campaigns to drive awareness, engagement, preference, and loyalty with Hilton and our 18 brands. Our team of account managers, copywriters, designers, production artists, and animators are primarily located in McLean, VA. However, we also have team members in Glasgow, Scotland, Dallas, and other remote locations in the US.

The Senior Designer will conceptualize, craft, and implement creative solutions that consistently and clearly communicate the Hilton portfolio brand identity, positioning, and messaging through all brand areas (including print, web, social media, events, B2B and B2C marketing collateral, internal marketing, etc.), and effectively communicate the strategic intent for each tactic. There is a wide range of design capabilities and experience, with a proven background in visual communications, print, digital, social, branding, and typography. Make a difference on this team!

More specifically, you will:

  • Proactively understand and gain knowledge of our brands, target audiences, and competitor activities
  • Develop creative ideas and concepts, often in partnership with the Creative Director and other Senior Designers and Copywriters
  • Collaborate with Loyalty, Enterprise, and Brand marketing teams to understand business and marketing objectives and creative needs to support a variety of direct response campaigns. Liaise with internal partners to clarify creative briefs
  • Develop compelling solutions across omnichannel touchpoints with a customer-first lens
  • Responsible for graphic design and direction, seeing all projects through from concept, design, production, completion, and delivery
  • Present and provide a business rationale for creative ideas to our internal partners for approval and development
  • Evolve, revise or redevelop advertisements or campaigns in response to feedback from the Creative Director, or internal partners
  • Assist the team with day-to-day production requests, including image selection and reformatting creative for various platforms
  • Balance multiple projects efficiently to meet deadlines and collaborate across multiple partners with different priorities
  • Implement Hilton’s brand identity standards and guidelines, while helping to inform the evolution and extension of the visual identity
  • Present design work at various stages to partners for review and final approval
  • Use campaign performance data to examine the efficiency of campaigns and apply key findings to future campaigns
  • Stay current on industry trends and share ideas for innovating new templates and design initiatives

What are we looking for?

To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:

  • Robust portfolio showing multiple projects, concepts, and visual styles
  • Five (5) years relative Design experience, preferably in a design firm, advertising, or in-house creative department
  • Experience collaborating with marketing departments, understanding company goals, and finding creative solutions to achieve objectives
  • Experience working on direct response materials and designing for a range of marketing platforms including email, banner ads, social, landing pages, print collateral
  • Advanced proficiency using Adobe Suite
  • Apply style guides creatively while upholding brand identity

It would be useful in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

  • Animation & Video production experience
  • Experience supervising junior designers
  • Have a curiosity about popular culture, new trends, and styles
  • Experience working at a creative agency
  • Experience in hospitality or consumer brands

For Colorado applicants only: The annual salary range for this role starts at $62,500 and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location. Hilton offers its eligible team members a comprehensive benefits package including medical and prescription drug coverage, dental coverage, vision coverage, life insurance, short-and long-term disability insurance, a 401(k) savings plan, paid time off, and our travel discount. Subject to plan terms and conditions, you will be eligible to participate in the Hilton Annual Incentive (Bonus) Plan consistent with other team members at the same level and/or position within the Company.
