Are you a talented Chef de Partie looking to grow your skills and experience with one the world’s top hotel brands?  

We are currently seeking the perfect fit for roles in our culinary team who will join our focused Hayman Village Kitchen Brigade.  Looking after our colleagues, working in the Hayman Village Kitchen  to deliver a nutritious, delicious food, providing variety and care for our colleagues.

 

Your day to day

Reporting to the Head Chef, Hayman Village, the Chef de Partie, Hayman Village plays a key role that combines an engaging and compelling career offer with a contemporary and attractive residential experience.  In this role, alongside the Kitchen Brigade Hayman Village you will be a part of the driving force to make sure all colleagues joining the Resort team experience a fantastic residential and living experience.

The Chef de Partie, Hayman Village will be responsible for cooking the culinary delights for our 400 colleague team within our colleague village restaurant with the support of a strong and dynamic team. Encompassing all the normal things you would expect from such a role, this is an opportunity to really focus on the food and let your ingredient knowledge and creativity shine. With your strength in banqueting and food production behind you, you’ll have freedom to work with varied cuisines and ingredients to execute and influence a rotational menu 40-50 meals deep that will allow you to cook fundamental favourites through to seasonal specials, taking our team on a never ending journey of culinary delights.

What we need from you

Our passionate foodies and experienced leaders must have:

  • A formal Commercial Cookery Certification 
  • A minimum of 2 years experience as a talented Chef de Partie or be a strong Demi Chef ready to take your next step 
  • A proven track record or working in and supporting a busy kitchen in a high volume banqueting environment where you were exposed to a diverse range of cuisine and cooking styles.
  • Strong skill base and experience in buffet food production 
  • Possess great attention to detail 
  • Excellent time management skills 
  • Superior communication skills 
  • A working knowledge and understanding of HACCP procedures

Flexibility to work a varied roster including, late evenings, weekends and public holidays in order to support the operation alongside holding Australian work rights is also a must.
