ABOUT OUR TEAM

The Finance HR team is dedicated to enabling the Finance organization through building business capabilities through talent activation, organizational design, and system/process solutions.  The Finance team at Marriott leverages change management expertise to strengthen the alignment between business priorities and organizational strategy (structure, processes, systems, talent, change, culture, etc.) in an effort to continuously improve and enhance the function. Through specific expertise in these efforts, we work to ensure Marriott’s world class finance professionals are able to optimize human capital investments through a high performing organization.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Director, Organizational Change Management you will be responsible for leading the creation and execution of change management and deployment strategies for multiple finance initiatives on a global basis.

As a member of the Finance HR team, the Director, Organizational Change Management plays a multi-faceted role supporting change management and communications needs for multiple finance projects. In this capacity, the candidate will deliver against discipline specific initiatives, while partnering closely with the Finance HR Business Partners, Organizational Capability resources, Finance Communications Lead and the Finance Business Leaders.  Primary focus will be to create and implement change management strategies and plans that minimize business risk, shape employee experience, and maximize engagement among key stakeholders. Success in this role includes realizing an accelerated adoption of change and higher proficiency on the changes impacting associates in the organization such that business results are achieved.

LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Partnering with the VP, HR Business Partner(s) and/or Finance HR team on the development of change management strategies to support both full life-cycle deployment efforts as well as ad-hoc projects - from assessment to implementation to sustainment
  • Overseeing change management and deployment work products of less experienced change staff on the team
  • Managing senior level clients/stakeholders within and outside the Finance discipline to translate business needs into change and organizational solutions
  • Developing complex change management and deployment strategies that will guide efforts and provide foundational change approach in support of projects


CHANGE MANAGEMENT DELIVERY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Developing and executing the change management strategy and deployment, including:
    • Guide the creation of the communications and training strategies
    • Conduct impact analyses and stakeholder assessments to determine change management needs for impacted stakeholders
    • Leverage best in class change management and deployment models and methodologies (i.e., stakeholder assessments, deployment readiness checklists) to provide consistent processes, tools, and services to support the project
    • Implement change management programs that ensure stakeholders are knowledgeable, prepared, and motivated for the changes and develop the skills and knowledge necessary to be successful
    • Identify and resolve issues and risks, provide timely updates to leadership
    • Facilitate meetings, reviews, and work collaboratively across the organization to produce effective results
    • Provide input to ensure learning programs, training, and support materials are effective
    • Measure the effectiveness of change management and deployment efforts; set targets, track results and create plans to improve programs
    • Design tools and techniques to sustain the change effort post-implementation

OUR EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Graduate degree, MS/MBA (or equivalent) in Organizational Development, Human Resources, Business Management, Psychology, or Related Field preferred
  • Minimum of eight years of experience supporting or leading change management, as well as exposure to consulting or related professional area
  • Experience consulting to business leaders, providing communication, deployment, and change management support
  • Hospitality industry and/or Finance experience a plus
