About the job


The on-board Purser assure administration procedure and give finance assistance to the Hotel Department related to guest or crew activities. Provides support on the hotel operations to achieve the best level of guest satisfaction.


•Maintains and updates guest data in the onboard Passenger Manifest System, always ensuring accuracy.

•Collects passports from embarking Guests and arrange their safekeeping during Guests embarkation.

•Prepares ship manifest and attends immigration clearance at all port of call to guarantee smoothly operations.

•Liaising with port agent, MSC local representative and port authorities.

•Prepares all crew immigration and customs documentation for embarking and disembarking crew and make sures crew manifest is duly updated.•Supervise & process Crew payments.

•Checks that all crew have the right documents and hard copy of all certificates to work on board.

•Supports and assist to on bard guest activities when required.


•Fluent English, oral and written. Any additional European language is considered an advantage (Italian, Portuguese, German, Spanish and French).

•Education within hotel industry or finance business.

•Must have cruise ship experience.•Experience in payroll processing, cash handling, and accounting in cruise ship.

•Computer knowledge and advanced knowledge of windows office.

•Strong administrative, accounting and organizational skills.

•Customer oriented. •Excellent communication skills.


•Possess a valid passport and when possible a seaman book.

•STCW2010 certification is compulsory.

•A recognised medical certification is required before starting to work on board.

•Able to obtain USA visa and/or Schengen visa.
