The Opportunity...

Our  opening team at 1 Hotel Mayfair is in search of a magnetic  Sales Manager - Corporate, Group & Events, to lead and oversee those segments within the hotel.  Our ideal candidate has remarkable tenacity, is a sharp leader with an entrepreneurial spirit, who’s good-natured, a natural at relationship building, and puts their clients needs at the top of their priority list, while meeting (or surpassing) all revenue goals for the department. 

Key Duties include: 

  • Lead the Corporate Market and drive minimum fair market share of room nights and revenue to ensure maximum yield in line with hotel budgetary objectives. 
  • Maintain valid call objectives and relevant sales action plans for each key account/key prospect and ensure all follow up is executed in a timely manner.
  • To negotiate corporate rates within the guidelines set by the Director of Sales and Director of Revenue and monitor their production monthly.
  • To ensure all negotiated are loaded correctly in PMS system and GDS system with support from Director of Revenue
  • To have close collaborative relationship with Reservations Associate to ensure wherever possible, room and suite enquiries are converted
  • Lead the MICE market and drive minimum fair market share of group room nights and group & events revenue in line with sales budgetary objectives.
  • Responsible to manage, build strong relationships and drive business equally across all sub-categories of MICE segments
  • To have very close collaborative relationship and consistent communication with the Head of Groups & Events as well as the Groups & Events Coordinator as these two positions will handle all group and event requests from enquiry to invoice stage.

About you...
  • Passionate about hospitality sales and a minimum of 3 years of sales experience in an upper upscale hotel environment.
  • Proven in experience with account management, guest room sales, contract negotiations, customer service, and execution of flawless guest experiences.

  • Familiar with the Mayfair area is a plus.
  • Advanced knowledge of hospitality sales
  • A strong leader and a proven track record in guest and team member engagement and financial performance.
  • Excels at communication, both verbal and written.
  • Willing to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends and holidays based on business demands.
