Description of the Host Property:
Located across the street from Auburn University and adjacent to the Tony and Libba Rane Culinary Science Center, this warm and friendly hotel is just a short walk from Toomer’s Corner and the attractions of Downtown Auburn. The hotel features 236 guest rooms, 10 suites and 22,000 square feet of meeting space, including two ballrooms for large meetings, weddings or special events. The Hotel at Auburn University is the perfect place to stay for visiting parents, Auburn athletics fans, and any other traveler to one of the American South’s best small cities.
Description of the Training:
Create unforgettable guest experiences in the Rooms Divisions department at a world-leading luxury hotel/resort through a J-1 hospitality internship or traineeship program at The Hotel at Auburn University. Train in a diverse and multicultural environment, under the guidance and leadership of industry leaders in the guest services field as you rotate in different roles in the department.
This rotational program is designed to give you exposure to the international hospitality industry and give you the experience needed to excel in your career when you return to your home country.

Description of the Location:
'uburn is home to a varied collection of historical sites, museums, performing arts attractions and recreational facilities. Outdoor recreation enthusiasts will enjoy Auburn's 16 parks, which include Chewacla State Park, Kiesel Park, and Lake Harding. It also features Hickory Dickory Park for picnicking and Family Fun Junction for miniature golf, go-cart racing, batting cages, and arcade games.

• Must be a current student of a Hospitality or Culinary post-secondary academic institution.
• Or recent graduate (less than 12 months ago) of a Hospitality or Culinary post-secondary academic institution.
• Or a graduate of a Hospitality or Culinary post-secondary academic institution (more than 12 months ago,) with 12 months of verifiable related work experience.
• Or must have 5 years of verifiable related work experience.
Language required: English.
