The Langham, London; Europe’s first Grand Hotel and Forbes 5* rated property, is currently recruiting for an Assistant Director – Catering and Conference Services to join our talented Sales & Marketing team.We are looking for a true hospitality professional, with the flair to deliver service at the highest level.

In the role of the Assistant Director – Catering and Conference Services, your key focus will be to:

  • achieve catering revenue goals
  • manage and oversee Events planning team
  • event planning, rooming list co-ordination and BEO confirmation after final contract has been turned over as “definite” with signed contract from sales team for residential and non-residential events
  • ensure compliance with all Langham Hospitality Group programmes, standards and procedures to achieve customer service quality goals
  • deputise for Director of Catering & Conference Services

Do you have? -

  • strong knowledge and experience of the events planning process
  • previous experience of working in a similar style and size hospitality environment
  • previous experience of managing and leading small to medium size teams
  • strong customer focus
  • ability to work in a fast moving environment and to deadlines
  • competitive spirit and drive when it comes to achieving targets
  • previous use of Opera and Delphi systems is advantageous
