About the job

With the support of the Director of Group & Events this role will formulate the strategic positioning of The Peninsula London for all weddings and social events, creating memorable and innovative events through an engaged sales process exceeding all expectations. Responsible for the planning and co-ordination of all wedding and social bookings, increasing revenues through creative upselling techniques, and above all responsible for creating and delivering outstanding experiences for all wedding and social events.

Key accountabilities

  • Solicit wedding & social business from all channels to drive revenue streams with the goal of achieving annual targets and guest satisfaction
  • Develop the wedding & social sales strategy in support of the Director of Group & Events, drawing up action plans for the segments with key wedding & social event planners, caterers, production companies, suppliers, and all direct channels
  • Increase wedding & social revenues through personalised proposals and effective upselling techniques with the goal of creating client and brand loyalty
  • Participate in relevant alignment meetings reviewing the monthly sales profit and loss report (P&L) and sharing market insights
  • Responsible for creating a memorable and innovative wedding or social event through personalised and engaged planning with each client

General requirements

  • Minimum 2-3 years with previous sales, planning, banquet, events and conference services
  • Possess strong communication skills, a natural organiser who is highly detailed and able to engage with guests while having strong financial acumen
  • An excellent communicator with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and staff
  • Fluent English language skills

The Peninsula Boutique & Café, providing light meals, an array of sweets and pastries, and signature Peninsula chocolate creations in a street facing location.

In-room Dining, available to guests 24 hours, 7 days a week, offering a selection of dishes from The Lobby, the Chinese and the Rooftop restaurants.
