The B2B Hospitality Solutions team is focused on ensuring Tripadvisor is providing a world class suite of solutions for Hoteliers & Restaurants spanning the total addressable market of Enterprise to SMBs.

TripAdvisor is looking for an experienced Senior Manager to join our global Content Solutions business, which is part of the Hospitality Solutions organization.  The role will be responsible for the success, management and growth of our Content Licensing and Hotel Pricing Affiliate businesses for clients in North America. This role requires a proactive, highly motivated, team-oriented and tech-savvy candidate with a highly proven business development acumen who is able to excel in a fast-paced, data driven and entrepreneurial environment. This is an integral position on our team as the right candidate will oversee a significant portion of our team’s largest revenue stream.

The ideal candidate will combine strong business development, account management and analytical skills, with previous experience within a leading hospitality, media or technology brand. The role will be based in TripAdvisor’s headquarters in Needham (though remote work location within the U.S. is acceptable) and will report into the Global Head of Content Solutions. Success in this role will be measured by performance against objectives and key results (OKRs), including but not limited to, growing the regions overall content licensing / affiliate revenue and new member acquisition through strategically optimizing existing accounts and signing new accounts. 

What you’ll do:

  • Manage and maintain a portfolio of leading hotel chain, technology, media, destination marketing organization, search and OTA partners in North America who work with TripAdvisor to:

    • License TripAdvisor content for display and / or analytical purposes

    • Generate affiliate revenue through hotel bookings

  • Identify areas to optimize existing integrations through data / competitive set analysis and quarterly partner business reviews. Execute against initiatives to reach and exceed target metrics.

  • Identify new leads through research and collaboration with the Content Solutions team. Initiate engagement and negotiate, sign and launch new deals to reach and exceed target metrics while working closely with product and engineering to ensure alignment with timeline from internal teams

  • Negotiate partnerships fairly and ensure standards and compliance meet Tripadvisor corporate expectations

  • Lead, advise and support our partners in the implementation stage of their integration, including but not limited to, best practices, brand guidelines, weekly update calls, technical troubleshooting and testing by representing the Tripadvisor values

  • Serve as your partners’ primary point of contact to answer questions, run reporting, provide guidance on best practices and troubleshoot any issues related to our products

  • Achieve and exceed agreed quarterly and annual OKRs and revenue targets

  • Maintain an accurate and organized overview of all of your account details and initiatives with documentation of team processes

  • Coordinate with product, engineering, legal, finance, operations, customer support and content teams to answer questions, resolve issues and lead cross-departmental initiatives

  • Some travel required

What We Seek:

  • 10+ years’ experience in business development or account management at a leading hospitality, media or technology brand

  • Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent

  • Experience at building and growing client relationships through positive communication, honesty and trust

  • Demonstrated ability to close deals, drive revenue and think creatively around partner needs, opportunities and solutions

  • Experience with cross-functional teammates to ensure client deliveries are defined, scoped and delivered within expected timeline.  This includes: product, engineering, legal, finance, accounting, and other counterparts across Tripadvisor

  • Comfortable with technical integrations, and enjoys problem solving and utilizing digital products to ensure successful project implementation

  • Target driven and proven self-starter with the ability to deliver on commercial targets through own efforts. Track record of exceeding targets through growing existing and signing new strategic accounts

  • Excellent prospecting, negotiation, presentation and analytical skills to ensure partnerships are secured and executed with optimum performance

  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel and proven ability to utilize different data sources and reporting tools to identify areas of improvement
