Located in Madrid and directly reporting to the Head of Marketing Iberia and Italy, the PR Manager for Spain will be responsible for the management and implementation of communication strategies to support the marketing plan and consolidate the position and brand in Spanish market. The primary focus of the role is to create, maintain and improve Press relationships, increasing Brand awareness and reaching the goals of clippings, media value and Tier 1 media publications for the market.

This involves collaboration on the longer-term strategic objectives of Marketing team in Iberia

It is vital to have a thorough understanding and passion for the eve revolving online bookings, Gastronomy and tech industry. 

What you will do:

  • Lead, create and implement communication strategy and global and local PR plan in the region.
  • Establish guidelines, key messaging and goals of PR activity in the region
  • Build and strengthen excellent relationships with key media. 
  • Define objectives and develop programs that strengthen the relationship of the company with journalists and stakeholders. 
  • Manage relationships with key journalists in Spain and relevant industry stakeholders, including effective proactive communication
  • Reinforce the brand position as a market leader in Spain 
  • Manage and coordinate Local PR agencies and collaborate with marketing local teams and central global PR & Brand team. 
  • Create, in collaboration with local PR agency, materials and contents for supporting PR activities
  • Give support and approval to areas regarding PR and press consultations
  • Follow and consolidate media coverage reports in all areas
  • Provide ideas and support local teams on events organization·       
  • Lead internal presentations and reports about PR activities
  • Training spokespeople
  • Optimize and manage the budget assigned to the PR department.
  • Advise, support and actively participate in the press events and presentations of each area.
  • Reputational crisis management and training to internal teams
  • Support Portuguese team with PR advice and recommendations when needed
  • Share best practices with other countries’ PR teams


Who you are:

  • You have at least 8 years of experience in a similar position, desirably in consumer goods or within the food industry
  • You have a solid network of journalists with extensive knowledge of the key players in media in Spain and Portugal.
  • You have long experience in creating media relation campaigns to solve complex communications challenges
  • You have excellent communication skills
  • You have good project management skills, ability to shape and deliver the corporate communication strategy) and great in building long-term relationships with partners
  • You are native Spanish and fully fluent in English, Portuguese is a plus
  • You are able to multitask and prioritize your own workload
  • You are commitment and dedication to driving team goals
  • You are an excellent team player and enjoy team work.
