Join our global TUI Musement Port Operations team in Malaga, Spain as a Port Operations Executive and provide a high level of service for your internal and external customers.

Intercruises Shoreside & Port Services is a specialized business providing cruise ship handling services to passenger lines in destinations throughout the world. For this position, you will be supporting our cruise lines clients with their daily operations in the Port of Malaga.  

ABOUT THE JOB

  • Main point of contact for cruise lines, ships, ports, sub agents for all Port Agency related matters 
  • Preparation of the services requested by the ship before the call.
  • Docking reservations and modifications through Port IC.
  • Ships staying requests to suppliers. 
  • Port ships general assistance.
  • Preparation of the official documentation needed for the cruise’s calls (Port authorities, Customs, Immigration…).
  • Ensure current legislation regarding all port related matters are communicated in timely manner to all clients and operational teams (i.e., security / immigration).
  • Assistance of the ships at the port the day of the call, coordination of all requested services.
  • Attention, settlement, and registration of incidents.
  • Attention and follow up of medical emergencies.
  • Closure and reporting of the attended ships. 
  • Handle all kind of shipments: airfreights, road freights and sea freights; Customs Brokerage, local/international transportation, and warehousing services; and the cargo logistics operations of landing goods: transport, customs brokerage, etc.
  • Finding alternatives to logistics problems and create contingency plans when necessary.
  • Update, maintain and close all logistics files in our operational software and ensure pre-invoicing is correct.
  • Attendance on wet docks, lay ups and special projects, etc…


ABOUT YOU

  • Good academic background. Maritime studies are desirable.
  • Excellent knowledge of the English and Spanish language both written and oral. 
  • Good office administration and organizational skills with a keen eye for attention to detail. 
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Orientation to results and customer obsessed
  • Pro activeness and natural problem solver
  • Ability to analyse and resolve problems
  • Available to travel if required.
  • Experience in ship operations will be a plus
  • Experience in a Freight Forwarding company, a shipping line or handling cruise logistics operations will be a plus.
