About the job



As Quality Engineer you will work as part of TUI´s P-145 Quality team across Europe reporting to the Part 145 Quality Team Leader. You will be responsible for planning and conducting internal & external audits and providing regulatory support and guidance functions within the Part 145 Maintenance Organisation. The TUI Part 145 Maintenance Organisation is serving all Aircrafts of TUI Airline across Europe. The role could be based in UK, NL or BE. This key influential role also supports the Maintenance Organisation Safety Management System and provides input into the continuation training program based on audit findings and operational events.

#We are open to considering a hybrid working model for this role, with a combination of office based and remote work plus travel requirements as the role requires.#

ABOUT THE ROLE
  • Carrying out internal Part 145 audits, including maintenance sample audits and aircraft inspections along with audits of suppliers and contracted organisations
  • Provide on-site support to the base maintenance activities in Luton
  • Develop a close relationship with all responsible managers within the Part 145 organisation to promote Quality and Safety systems
  • Review applicable standards for each audit and prepare documentation including the updating of audit checklists
  • Support the internal approval process, including approval board interviews, supplier audits and the issue of single event authorisations
  • Organise audit opening and closing meetings to ensure that the scope of the audit is fully understood and findings/timescales and corrective / preventive actions are agreed/fully understood
  • Demonstrate an ‘added value approach’ to auditing
  • Escalate overdue findings and prepare audit reports for directors and senior management
  • Maintain an effective working relationship with the Regulatory Authority
  • Maintaining accurate and up to date information within the departmental Quality Database
  • Review Maintenance Organisation audit trends and recommend appropriate actions
  • Supporting the certifying staff authorisation process
  • Support local region meetings as assigned by the Quality Manager


ABOUT YOU
  • Possession of a current Aircraft Maintenance Engineers licence covering large modern transport aircraft (or relevant Engineering Degree) and relevant aircraft experience across line and base maintenance
  • Possession of a recognised Lead Auditor qualification or have the ability to work towards achieving this
  • Excellent working knowledge of EASA/UK Part-145 & Part-66 along with knowledge of Part CAMO & Part 147 regulations
  • A team player with a proven track record in building strong working relationships with customers (internal & external)
  • Good computer skills with working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of programmes; knowledge of AMOS would be advantageous
  • Working knowledge of IQSMS Safety, Quality & Risk software would also be an advantage.
  • Self-motivated and flexible with the ability to organise own workload whilst under pressure work and remotely within a matrix organisation
  • Ability and willingness to travel throughout the EU, UK and overseas
  • Ability to hold a full EU or UK airport airside pass
