We build and maintain a wide range of technology to support this mission. Our technology product catalog ranges from the typical monolithic web applications to an expansive IoT sensor network streaming signals into data pipelines to help optimize the way we use space. The education, awareness, and ongoing management of our global security program is paramount to the success of Information Security.

We are looking for a person to lead and manage our global security program to ensure we continue to create awareness and advance our security footprint.  This position will work closely with all parts of the business to educate, involve and deliver on critical security initiatives for the company.  

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing a multiyear security strategy to ensure security education and awareness are a staple of WeWork

  • Continuously evaluate and evolve new methodologies and approaches to solving complex security challenges (e.g. franchise security model)

  • Evangelize the secure software development lifecycle across Engineering and Technology

  • Establish feedback loops from all parts of the business, including but not limited to: Marketing, Sales, Engineering, Legal, HR

  • Own the executive security roadmap, and occasionally present to the board of directors or high-level management

  • Own and manage the security funnel (e.g. intake process) for complex projects across the business

  • Develop trusted relationships for delivery of key services for our members and facilities

  • Drive public readiness initiatives for ensuring compliance with all global obligations



Requirements

  • Track record of delivering highly complex projects, spanning multiple business units

  • Ability to walk in the shoes of engineers in order to understand how the program and how it affects their day-to-day

  • Experience in framing, establishing and implementing large-scale initiatives

  • Ability to be flexible with a positive attitude and learn quickly in a dynamic environment

  • Willingness to train, teach and receive security training
