Wyndham Hotels & Resorts is now seeking a Manager/Sr. Manager, Global Sales Marketing to join our team at the Parsippany - 22 Sylvan Way location in Parsippany, New Jersey.

Job Summary

The position will be responsible for supporting marketing efforts directed to B2B audiences within the following segments through Wyndham Business: Small & Mid-Size Businesses, Group & Meeting Planners, Travel Buyers & Managers, and Travel Advisors. Key areas of focus are lead generation through multiple digital channels (i.e. paid media, social and traditional digital marketing through industry partners), reporting and analytics, and maintenance, design and creation of effective sales enablement materials for the NAMER Global Sales team. This role also includes responsibility for customer communications, account based marketing, promotion development and execution, and ad hoc project work.  This position will work closely with the Senior Director, Global Sales Marketing and relies on strong relationships with the Global Sales and Sales Operations leadership teams. From a cross functional perspective, partnership with key teams such as Digital, Analytics, Business Intelligence, brand operations, and brand marketing teams are essential to support the B2B marketing initiatives for the company. Flexibility as priorities shift, the ability to work with and reconcile feedback from multiple stakeholders, attention to detail and an appetite to test and learn are important for success in this role.

   

Responsiblities

1    Lead Generation through paid media

Focus on key industry segments (i.e. construction, infrastructure, health care) to drive new leads with the goal to convert to new Wyndham Business or new GSO managed accounts. 

Maintain and optimize paid search and programmatic display campaigns with media agency partner. Align and partner with internal digital teams to use learnings to optimize Wyndham Business website content. 

Partner with media agency to build and implement social campaigns through LinkedIn as needed to support lead generation efforts within specific industries with continued travel throughout the pandemic.

2    Analytics & Reporting

Partner with internal Analytics team to optimize the existing Wyndham Business dashboard through Adobe Analytics to measure and report on site traffic, leads and ultimately revenue driven by marketing initiatives. 

Leverage Claravine to create tracking links and work closely with internal Digital team to ensure tracking links are implemented and feeding data into Wyndham Business dashboard as paid media investments are executed. Marry Salesforce lead reporting with marketing optimizations to report on impact of lead generation marketing.

Utilize dashboard to measure KPI’s by campaign to recommend opportunities to improve and optimize the investments through the B2B marketing budget by channel including email, digital, paid & organic search and through investments with industry trades.

3    B2B Customer Communications

Develop content for and manage creative agency to draft and design a monthly customer newsletter, the Wyndham Business Update, to be shared with managed and unmanaged accounts and prospects, as well as travel advisors who are graduates of the Wyndham Wise Travel Agent University program. Includes content development in partnership with internal teams i.e. Openings, brand marketing, Wyndham Rewards and PR. Copy writing skills required.

Partner with sales to draft email messaging/templates to  Wyndham Business accounts via Salesforce Lightning email communications as well as reviewing email scripts and call center recordings leveraged by the extended sales team. 

4    Promotion Support & Implementation

Support in development and execution of segment-specific promotions to drive incremental revenue through B2B customers by segment. Strong focus on Small & Mid-Size businesses along with continued support for the evolving Group & Meetings market as the current travel-restricted environment evolves following COVID-19.

Project management to ensure alignment of key internal stakeholders to operationalize promotions i.e. digital, legal, communications, and sales teams – and ensuring alignment through regional cross-functional teams as well as external vendors and agency partners. 

Responsibilites

5    Sales Enablement & Program Marketing

Support the development of sales enablement materials in support of the NAMER GSO team i.e. customer-facing pitch materials needed in connection with client meetings and tradeshows/industry events. Maintain master brand pitch deck annually with updates as material changes warrant. Additional sales enablement materials relevant to specific segments. Maintain segment value propositions and work toward developing new value propositions in support of specific industries as needed. 

Focus on program marketing in support of Wyndham Direct targeting Small Businesses & Travel Buyers and Wyndham Wise targeting Travel Advisors. 

Partner with internal stakeholders to route all new creative for internal review and share with sellers via Showpad. 

Branding and execution of customer-facing email campaigns, call center scripts and sales enablement tools to promote revenue growth through these B2B programs and tools. 

6    Account Based Marketing & Meetings Platform Management

Partner with sales to ensure revenue-driving marketing components are included where allowed within commercial agreements with managed accounts. Execute account marketing deliverables through agency partners using account-specific messages to drive engagement and bookings through managed accounts. Key markets to focus on are 3rd party meeting accounts as well as agency management of all TMC/Consortia account marketing.

Manage content on U.S. & Canada microsites as well as WHR’s global Source Safely microsite within Cvent Supplier Network as well as Cvent white label RFP site.

7    Ad Hoc/Admin Support

Track and maintain budget for GSO Marketing team; work with COE to process invoices; and utilize Cvent’s eMarketing tool to share and manage performance of customer communications and event invitations as needed. Ad hoc tradeshow support as needed.

 

Competencies

This position requires a great deal of ideation, leadership, management of information, coordination and syndication of details, reviews, approval, information-sharing and communication with a large group of stakeholders in a highly matrixed organization. 

Supervision and direction will be given to oversee the strategic effectiveness of work before it is shared with executives and confirm decisions and direction.

There are currently no supervisory responsibilities.

Scope/Financial Responsibility

Responsible for managing media, creative and partner marketing so as to drive new business leads and develop tools for sales enablement for the entire Global Sales organization. 

Objectives for/related to this role are:
•    Drive new business leads through marketing initiatives targeting business travelers across all segments  – building positive brand recognition for Wyndham Business by messaging  the total Wyndham value for business travelers
•    Drive awareness of the programs and tools available to business travelers to simplify the booking process and overall experience partnering with Wyndham for business travel
•    Deliver new accounts the Global Sales Organization can grow over time

All of the above objectives are designed to:
•    Drive revenue through managed and unmanaged business travel accounts
•    Establish Wyndham Business as a true competitor in the B2B travel space
•    Grow B2B revenue

Experience & Education

•    Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree in Marketing preferred
•    Experience in paid media, all digital channels
•    Minimum of 2-4 years’ experience in B2B sales & marketing, preferred in hospitality industry
•    Strong project, organizational and time management skills
•    Ability to use independent judgment and makes decisions
•    Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) 
•    Experience with Salesforce Lightning or other CRM system strongly preferred
