About me
Growing up in, "The Salad Bowl of the World," Salinas Valley continues in her cooking today. Beginning her career in her home state of California at a 5 star resort and private country club- CordeValle, to opening a fine dining restaurant for Royal Caribbean Cruise Line, to teaching at the Institute of Technology in CA, created a culinary program for aged-out foster children in Florida, to Corporate Catering, and currently an R&D Chef and Manager of Culinary Development for FCS Franchise Co. Vanessa has several Gold and Silver medals as a competitor though the American Culinary Federation. She was a Team Chef for the ACF Culinary Team USA, 2020 and received a Silver Medal at the Culinary World Cup, Luxembourg. As an active ACF member, she holds the position as President of the ACF Tampa Bay Chapter, Previous achievements, she received a Bronze Star from the Chaine des Rotisseurs USA as a Maitre Rotisseur, recently inducted into the Canadian Culinary Federation Honour Society- 1st American woman to receive such an honor, received a Humanitarian Medal from WorldChefs Without Borders for her efforts and organizing the first WCWB event in the USA, and holds the position as Chairman of the International Chefs Day Committee,WorldChefs.
