Fantastic opportunity to join the Hilton family in the great state of South Carolina! Kingston Resorts is adding a Director of Marketing & Leisure Sales to join the team!

Kingston Resorts is a 145 acre oceanfront resort on the north-end of Myrtle Beach. Less than 2 miles from Tanger Outlets and a short 20 minute trip to Broadway at the Beach. This resort is home to Hilton Myrtle Beach Resort, Embassy Suites Myrtle Beach, Kingston Plantation Condos, Royale Palms, and Plantation Laundry Service.

What will I be doing?

A Director of Marketing & Leisure Sales is responsible for leading and directing the development and implementation of strategic sales and marketing plans and initiatives in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

Overseeing all marketing, planning, and execution strategies for the Hilton Myrtle Beach Resort, Embassy Suites Myrtle Beach Oceanfront, Kingston Plantation Condos, Royale Palms Condos and Plantation Laundry Services.

Accountable for the development, management, execution and measurement of all aspects of the marketing/branding strategies to include, but not limited to: positioning, marketing budgets, social media, websites, advertising, group positioning, collateral, and content. All efforts should be focused on maximizing performance. Success measures include: budget achievement, increasing topline revenue, optimizing expenses and achieving channel/market share objectives.  Leisure responsibilities include solicitation new customer relationships and accounts, including wholesalers, receptive operators and retail travel agencies.

As a member of the hotel’s Executive Committees, this role reports directly to the General Manager, and requires regular interaction with hotels’ Director of Group Sales, Director of Revenue Management, Director of Finance, and Director of Food & Beverage. Participate in ownership meetings, as needed, and will oversee a Marketing Coordinator.

This position is a managerial role that is responsible for the recruitment, interviewing, training and development of on-site sales and marketing team. Monitoring and develop team member performance to include, but not limited to, providing supervision and professional development, scheduling, conducting counseling and evaluations and delivering recognition and reward.

This role will require utilization and application of current technology and systems.

  • Serve as a marketing evangelist – helping to educate property leaders and owners on marketing strategies, tactics, and results (both at a property and enterprise level)  
  • A passion for learning and staying on the cutting edge of new digital strategies, trends and technologies. This may include attending related trade/business events, conferences and workshops.
  • Highly adaptable to seasonality and shifting priorities
