The role…

At Soho House the Maintenance Manager is responsible for maintenance and prevention of the property, public spaces, exterior, and all related equipment according to company, local and regional policies. As the Maintenance Manager, you will be the one to ensure that the maintenance department has the best physical resources available to complete their duties according to budget. A great maintenance manager will have a solid understanding of plumbing and electrical systems as well as carpentry and other crafts. They will be well-versed in all maintenance process and health and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will also have aptitude in undertaking administrative tasks such as reporting, budgeting, problem solving, training, and managing maintenance technicians. The goal is to ensure that Soho House’s facilities are well-cared for and live up to the standard our members expect.

Main Duties

  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Work directly with the House Manager and General Manager to identify and accomplish all technical and skilled related projects within the property.
  • Carpet and tile floor repair.
  • Painting project and exterior projects.
  • Responsible for knowing Emergency Procedures.
  • Check Smoke and Carbon Monoxide alarms on a regular schedule.
  • Assist Regional Engineer Manager in the identification of persistent, consistent, or major maintenance problems.
  • Perform electrical repairs.
  • Perform plumbing repairs.
  • Painting and general maintenance as needed and required.
  • Repair of simple kitchen and restaurant equipment
  • Assist the events department with events set ups & moves
  • Follow the instruction of the manager and adhere to the calendar of general maintenance of the building
  • Ensure all storages and maintenance shop is kept organized and clean consistently.
  • Must maintain strong communication of all projects, issues, and timeline of work to HM and GM.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of the guest rooms preventative maintenance and upkeep program.
