The Product Experience and Prototypes (PE&P) Team is responsible for the entirety of the on-property guest experience with regards to all things PRODUCT. A large portion of our work is centered around the Hilton brands that are more prototypical in nature… the Focused Service and All Suites Category. The team drives the delivery of a steady flow of pragmatic innovation both big and small. In addition, the team is accountable for the following objectives:

  • Regularly inspect and analyze the on-property guest experience
  • Continuously optimize physical products and operating models
  • Integrate above-property innovations with on-property experience
  • Initiate and lead product teams designed to deliver new customer offerings

As the Manager of PE&P, you will be working closely with the Global Brand Heads and PE&P Directors to develop and deliver innovations and products that improve the guest experience, drive Revenue Per Available Room (RevPAR) premiums, and improve owner returns.

  • Lead and support the day-to-day execution of prioritized product initiatives.
  • Study and understand guest and owner needs, build brand design evolution strategies, generate project charters, contribute to the scope of work creation, manage workflow, lead both internal teams as well as external agency partners in a matrixed environment, provide project status updates to brand and functional leaders, and present at key owner meetings such as the Product Advisory Council.
  • Develop prototype plans, brand decor package specifications, design guides, renovation guides, team member uniform programs, brand OS&E guides, and any other products that impact guest experiences.
  • Support projects by providing a brand and product lens to include brand sustainability plans, future of fitness, brand graphics and collateral, fixed renovation cycle management, F&B initiatives, and any additional PE&P team involvement requested projects.
  • Lead and/or support the execution of strategic projects and programs from need identification to implementation, including coordination of functional subject matter experts and external resources such as consultants and agency partners.
  • Establish and maintain strong partnerships within the brand organization as well as across the rest of the Organization.

Additional scope of the role includes but is not limited to:

  • Support PE&P Sr. Director, Directors, and Global Brand Heads with leading and/or supporting specific high priority projects and initiatives, including physical product optimization and development, room and public space prototypes, F&B spaces, and many more
  • End to end product development efforts using various product development methodologies; research, product testing, learning, adaptation, all the way through implementation
  • Serve as the principal liaison between global brand heads, PE&P Team, Architecture Design and Construction (AD&C), Global Design Services (GDS), Food and Beverage (F&B), Brand Personality, Brand Innovation & Planning, Corporate Responsibility, Fitness, Digital, Honors, Marketing, Hilton Supply Management (HSM) and craft processes that encourage partnership, motivation, and mutual accountability
  • Organize and manage the recurring execution of activities in the areas of customer and competitive research, industry trends, innovation, and team capability building

  • Experience influencing and working with senior leaders
  • Skilled at shifting between a diverse set of projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven experience developing new strategies, building business cases, gaining internal/external support, and driving implementation, with a track record of solid decision-making
  • Structured thinking and ability to analyze data, derive conclusions and form recommendations
  • Experience working with hotel owners, architects, interior designers, and general contractors.

To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:

  • Three (3) years of relevant experience in hospitality, branding, and/or design
  • Two (2) years Project Management experience
  • Up to 30% of travel

It would be useful in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

  • BA/BS Bachelor's Degree
  • MA/MS Master's Degree
  • Experience working in matrixed organizations and with Sr. Executives
  • Experience with hotel design, construction, and renovations with an understanding of budgets, value engineering, and the key players that lead to success.
  • Experience conducting a SWOT analysis, crafting and presenting information with a focus on audience understanding, and gaining consensus
  • Project Management Certification or similar
