JOB DETAILS
HOST: A 5-star Hotel part of Marriott International in The Kingdom of Bahrain
DESTINATION: The Kingdom of Bahrain
PROGRAM: Hospitality & Business Internship
COMMENCEMENT: December 2021 / January, February, March 2022
DURATION: 6-month (minimum), up to 12-month (maximum)
OPENING: Food & Beverage Service Intern, Culinary Arts Intern, Front Office & Guest Services Intern, & Human Resource Department Intern

ABOUT THE DESTINATION:
The Kingdom of Bahrain is an Arab state situated in a bay on the Southwestern coast of the Persian Gulf. Its capital city “Manama” was selected as the ‘Capital of Arab Tourism’ for the Year 2020! The nation’s hotels overlook some of the most picturesque valleys in the Gulf. Tourists usually visit the Kingdom to experience some of its rich histories through the museums, mosques, forts, and so much more.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES OF FOOD & BEVERAGE SERVICE INTERN
- Work in all areas of Food & Beverage Service operations including Bar, Restaurant, Banqueting, Room Service, Sommelier, Conference & Events
- Prepare the room and the tables for the service
- Interact with customers, take, and serve their orders
- Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
- Assist in checking and managing stocks and supplies
- Greet visitors warmly; consistently demonstrate high levels of customer service
- Maintain personal hygiene and professional appearance while on duty
- Assist other departments whenever necessary
- Other related duties under the supervision of F&B managers/trainers

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES OF CULINARY ARTS INTERN
– Assist in preparing food ingredients for hotel guests/customers
– Assist in assembling dishes according to restaurant recipes and specifications
– Assist in checking and managing food stocks and supplies
– Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the workstation at all times
– Maintain personal hygiene and professional appearance while on duty
– Assist other departments whenever necessary
– Other related duties under the supervision of F&B managers/trainers

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES OF FRONT OFFICE & GUEST SERVICES INTERN
- Perform check-in\check-out procedures efficiently
- Respond to customer queries via phone or email
- Understand all hotel room categories, room rates, packages, and promotions
- Greet & welcome visitors warmly; consistently demonstrate high levels of customer service
- Maintain personal hygiene, cleanliness, and professional appearance while on duty
- Assist other departments whenever necessary
- Other related duties under the supervision of Front Office managers/trainers

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES OF HUMAN RESOURCE DEPARTMENT INTERN
– Assist in updating internal databases with new employee information
– Assist in gathering payroll data such as working hours, leaves, etc
– Assist in screening resumes and application forms
– Responding to staff inquiries regarding HR-related matters
– Maintain personal hygiene and professional appearance while on duty
– Assist other departments in the hotel whenever necessary
– Other related duties under the supervision of HR managers/trainers
