Responsibilities: Overall duties as Japanese Chef
Detail
• Developing new fusion menu including estimating various costs for food and labour and coordinating supply of food stuff for kitchen
• Performing overall food preparation and directing kitchen staff
• Checking and ensuring quality and tastes of all dishes being prepared and cooked properly
• Conferring with other chefs, waiting staff and management on various food preparation issues
• Developing more efficient cooking procedures and applying cooking skills and techniques
• Ensuring relevant hygiene and safety standards applied in the kitchen
• Participating in choosing kitchen staff members
• Managing food storage
• Conducting staff training on food preparation
Qualifications
• At least diploma (including Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery) in Hospitality Management or equivalent work experience as a Japanese chef
• At least 3 years’ work experience as a Japanese chef
• Excellent cooking expertise in Japanese cuisine
Annual Salary
$72852 plus super, annual leave, sick leave
