Montblanc – Brand Relations Executive
(Permanent Full-Time)
HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT?
Promote Montblanc across all communication channels throughout the UK media landscape. Responsible for all brand and press relations in the region (UK and Ireland) and all publicity for all collections, categories and commercial network. Working very closely with the HQ Brand Relations team, this role is key in positioning Montblanc as the leading luxury business lifestyle Maison in the UK.
Brand Relations:
- Develop and maintain all brand relations with press, influencers, publicists, celebrities, stylists, VIPs
- Develop local Brand Relations strategy to reflect the global Brand Relations strategy in the UK
- Identify new talent and manage all contracts with brand partners and legal team
- Build and develop the press contact database
- Responsible for all local influencers, celebrities, VIPs dressing
- Crisis management: plans and statements to manage crisis if they arise
Press Coverage:
- Plan and implement the press strategy for the UK, to deliver press coverage across all channels (print, digital, social, podcasts) promoting the key messages, launches and news of the Maison, according to yearly objectives and priorities
- Manage the local press office to timely and efficiently respond to all press/media queries, pitch new stories and distribute press releases to secure key features
- Plan and arrange all photoshoots or other press activities
- Work closely with Montblanc UK retailers’ press relations team to maximise coverage
- Ensure global press coverage KPIs are met
Press Events:
- Organise press events as per yearly marketing plan, to ensure press awareness and coverage - from planning to implementation, ensure excellent execution of the press experience
- Organise press events to Hamburg, Florence, Switzerland or other global destinations for global press events, content creation platforms and experiences - accompanying press and following up to maximise results
Communications Editing:
- Create press releases for UK activations
- Adjust material received by HQ on a regular basis
- Write speeches for the UK Brand Director
- Edit all official communications
Reporting & Budget Ownership:
- Weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly reports on coverage (print, digital, social media, ad hoc reports)
- Key launches and events reporting
- DMR and Media reporting
- Own the Brand Relations budget
- Monthly monitoring and reporting of invoices, spend, year-to-go
- Edit all official communications
Internal Communications & Agency Management:
- Weekly PR/coverage newsletter for UK team
- Monthly HQ reports or ad hoc key launch reports to HQ
- Main point of contact for global Brand Relations team
- Manage the PR agency to deliver exceptional results
- Oversee and approve the press outreach, messaging, follow up with key contacts
- Manage events or other agencies as needed
HOW WILL YOU EXPERIENCE SUCCESS WITH US?
- Minimum 5 years’ experience within the PR industry
- Existing database and established network of press contacts within fashion & luxury
- Impeccable communication skills and ability to liaise with various stakeholders
- Ability to demonstrate agility and autonomy within the role
- Exceptional organisation skills
- Strong analytical and commercial mindset
- A team-player with experience working both collaboratively and independently
- Highly self-motivated and strategic with sharp attention to detail
- Results driven and dynamic, whilst remaining client-centric
- Reacting intelligently and responding to unforeseen requests
