ABOUT THE ROLE


We are currently looking for a passionate Deputy Director of Conference & Banqueting, to join our Conference & Banqueting Department on a permanent basis, and help us to consistently deliver memorable moments and five star service to our guests and each other.


At The Landmark London, our purpose is to enrich the journeys of our people and our guests and as a Deputy Director of Conference & Banqueting, your main duties will include:


·         To proactively contact clients in the organisation of their events and through pre planning have event details ready for weekly BEO meeting

·         To be aware of our competitor’s facilities through visits and attendance of outside Hotel functions on an ongoing basis.  Competitor surveys including Banqueting charges should be carried out quarterly.

·         To manage the day-to-day function of the office reporting to the Director of Conference and Banqueting.

·         To continually check by personally inspecting that standards relating to room set ups and details relating to the days' functions are adhered to. Also to be present on the day of the event in order to introduce your own clients to the operations team and ensure a smooth and detailed hand over. To stay and supervise service for all own social events and larger corporate parties and to ensure Banqueting Mangers also follow this standard.

·         To allocate events to banqueting managers based on size of events, experience of banqueting manager and other events taking place in the absence of the Director of Banqueting.

·         To ensure that all complaints are handled quickly and efficiently according to Hotel policy.

 

As a Deputy Director of Conference & Banqueting, you will be required to work such hours as are necessary to fulfil their duties and in any event not less than 40 hours.
