Summary:

The Cluster Digital Marketing & Content Manager will take on the digital marketing lead and develop of online strategies to achieve business goals and drive commercial performance for Four Seasons in Kyoto and Otemachi. While there will be a strong focus on hotel room night conversions, restaurant and bar, spa and other products and services will also be included. Experience in Online Travel Agency Sales or eCommerce along with a sound understanding of local market and International demographics and trends will enable this individual to influence revenue targets through the localized and destination marketing campaigns that increase brand loyalty, sales and traffic.

People Functions

  • Plays a key role in reputation management, acting as a strategic communications advisor to management by keeping track of public attitudes, developing key messages and managing potential issues and organize responses
  • Attend internal meetings for Revenue, Food & Beverage, Spa, and Rooms and will be actively involved in maintaining communication and promotional calendars for each department
  • Maintain a harmonious and professional relationship with co-workers, supervisors and all departments
  • Assist in other areas of the department as needed


Product Functions

  • Leads in Hotel’s digital strategy with a proactive and creative approach to all available digital and electronic marketing platforms including, but not limited to, the deployment of the e-newsletter and e-direct mailers, SEO/SEM, marketing databases, social media and display advertising campaigns. Design and implement innovative programs and campaigns that increase awareness of the Hotel, its offerings and dynamic team
  • Actively manages Four Seasons proprietary websites, ensuring alignment with the Hotel’s positioning and business objectives and creative storytelling
  • Ensure up-to-date information on partner and third-party websites
  • Lead in the management and creative development of social media channels to amplify key messages and activities
  • Elevate the importance of search as well as strategic and creative communication
  • Monitor digital marketing conversations relevant to industry, luxury, local, and International markets
  • Coordination of Hotel participation in corporate global integrated communication campaigns
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Senior Director of Marketing and Director of PR & Communications


Profit Functions

  • Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns, and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs) on a bi monthly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
  • Illustrate the power and resulting impact of a strategic digital presence through effective monitoring and evaluation tools
  • Develop new and innovative growth strategies


Technical Skills and Knowledge

  • Demonstrable experience leading and managing SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media, and/or display advertising campaigns
  • Experience in setting up and optimizing PPC campaigns on all major search engines
  • Working knowledge of ad serving tools
  • In-depth knowledge of various social media platforms, best practices, website and marketing analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics)
  • Experience in optimizing landing pages and user funnels
  • Understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Understands Hotel’s marketplace; well-informed of market trends and user behaviours, including evaluating the competition’s marketing communications activities and implements change as dictated by market requirements


* Successful candidates must possess legal work authorization for Japan and  be fluent in English and Japanese business communication.
