The Opportunity: The Four Seasons, Washington D.C. is currently looking for a talented, passionate and service-minded individual to join the Bourbon Steak Team as a Pastry Chef de Partie. The Pastry Chef de Partie will be responsible for supporting the selection, training, development, and evaluation of employees in the Kitchen through effective management and leadership to ensure that established cultural and core standards are met. Assist in the planning and development of menus for the hotel; ensure the correct preparation and presentation of a consistent level for all food items prepared through production and demonstration.  Ensure that sanitation standards as set forth by Four Seasons, local, state, and federal regulations are in compliance as well as the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen.  Communicate with employees and managers to ensure operational needs are met as well as attend regular operational meetings to ensure effective coordination and cooperation between departments.

2-4 years of previous experience in upscale restaurant operation is a must.

Ideal candidates will have a systematic, patient pace with the emphasis on creative imaginative thought in order to get the job done right.  This is an “Expert” job that requires a desire to develop, maintain specialty knowledge, and communicates with confidence.
