About Hilton Melbourne Little Queen Street
The newly opened Hilton Melbourne Little Queen Street combines old world charm with modern luxuries! This newly opened hotel in the heart of the CBD features 244 stylish guest rooms, including 10 spacious suites, a restaurant and bar, fully equipped gym and eight meeting & event spaces.
  
About the role
Your role will be to promote, sell and control the events enquiries from initial enquiry to contracting the business. You will be able to efficiently qualify and sell the hotel for meetings and events and build powerful customer relationships that deliver repeat business. Specifically your duties will include:

  • Handle all incoming meetings and events leads professionally
  • Maximise revenue through upselling
  • Actively convert leads into confirmed bookings
  • Achieve event sales in line with targets
  • Conduct site inspections of the hotel with potential clients
  • To actively promote the hotel facilities by entertaining clients and agents as necessary
  • Effectively negotiate rates according to selling strategies
  • Update and maintain accurate account profiles in the database systems e.g. Delphi.FDC
  • Create and develop successful customer partnerships ensuring client retention
  • Create and distribute event orders and liaise with key departments to ensure events are carried out effectively and to a high standard.

 
What are we looking for?
The successful candidate will have:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High level of IT skills, including Excel and Word
  • Talent for being persuasive
  • Proactive approach to meeting deadlines and targets
  • Excellent organisational and administration skills with attention to detail
  • Well-presented and work well under pressure
  • The ability to work autonomously but still cultivate key relationships across the hotel
  • 12 months previous experience in a similar hotel role would be highly regarded
